Who I AmMy name is Ryann Jeff and I'm a college student with a slightly interesting life and knack for writing about it. I moved from a big urban metropolis in the Bay Area to a small beach town called Isla Vista in pursuit of a "great perhaps". I decided to follow the footsteps of my fictional inspirations Siddhartha "He Who Achieves His Goal" and Santiago (The Alchemist) and start a self-discovering odyssey of my own.
After spending majority of my youth in fear of failure and rejection, I realized I wasn't really living. I have so many plans for myself that revolve around experience -whether it be to travel, to learn, or to love- that I've come to understand will only manifest through action. I don't take this lightly either; I want to hike Machu Picchu, see the northern lights in Iceland, manage a non-profit, develop a start-up, form relationships with as many people possible, mentor, teach, write, and save the world. Some think my endeavors are trivial, but I think I'm just twenty-one and tenacious. |
What I DoRight now, I'm a sustainability intern coordinating the certification of green office spaces, working on my Bachelor's degree in both Economics and Environmental studies, and pursuing opportunities in business, communication, and project management.I aspire to work at a managerial level in corporate environmental responsibility/sustainability and receive an MBA, but as an Extroverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving personality type, i'm 95% confident that I'm going to change my mind.
Regardless, my areas of interest and expertise include (but are not limited to): writing, designing, innovating, developing, analyzing, traveling, communicating, and collaborating. I naturally find myself following my 5 S's: see sunrises, start goals, spend time with people, send out good energy, and seize the day. When I'm not trying to be productive, I spend ample time reflecting, which more than often leads to over-expressing. This website documents daily (but most likely monthly) thoughts, ideas and experiences. Anything from lifestyle, entertainment, personal tastes, health, fleeting obsessions and whatever else that captures my short attention can be found here.
